Due to her unfailing dedication to community efforts, in 1978 she received the William C. In the 1980s, Lloyd assumed positions in fundraising for the Greater Milwaukee Foundation and the Blood Center of Wisconsin Research Foundation. She also served as a Trustee and Elder of Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Milwaukee to which she belonged as a member since 1942. Lloyd built a successful career as a volunteer fundraiser for more than a dozen causes throughout her lifetime, including Board positions at the Junior League of Milwaukee, Riveredge Nature Center, Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra, the United Performing Arts Fund, War Memorial Center, Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, Visiting Nurse Association, Women’s Club of Wisconsin, Ozaukee Washington Land Trust, The Nature Conservancy - Door Peninsula, Saint John’s Communities Foundation, and Door County Land Trust Advisory Board. She held jobs in Washington, New York City, and Milwaukee before her marriage in Milwaukee to her husband Sam. Lloyd remained actively involved with her alma mater, supporting various programs. She was a graduate of Milwaukee Downer Seminary (now University School of Milwaukee) and Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts. Mark Lewis (Daria), of Newton MA and Mary L. She is survived by her three children: John B. 95, died peacefully after a brief illness on August 31st at Saint John’s on the Lake in Milwaukee.
